Diversity

What do you love about where you live?

As a child I lived in the Mississippi  Delta for headstart; while I saw people of other cultures there was not much interaction. After a well lived life. I have returned to North  MS as a disabled adult. And I  am pleased  surprised  to see various  cultures  living among one another with minimal  prejudice

I am a Child of God

Have we looked past what we hoped to see in a Creator and stopped and looked at Jesus? Jesus came as a servant, as a humble man and One willing to be ignored by His creation. When we get past that, we acknowledge Him and receive Him – and God makes us His child

Joy Comes Daily

I thought of you when I read this quote from “The Daily Proverbs: 365 Devotional Sayings on How to Live a Better Life” by R.W. Reese –

““My child, if your heart is wise, my own heart will rejoice!” Proverbs 23:15 God doesn’t ask us to follow His ways because He is strict, cruel, or wants to feed His own ego. God wants us to live righteously because He knows the many benefits it will bring to us. He wants us to live joyful, peaceful, and prosperous lives through Him. He knows that kind of life comes through wisdom, so when our hearts are wise, it brings Him genuine joy and He rejoices in us! He always wants what is best for us even if it may not feel like it sometimes. Fill your heart with His love and continue to practice spiritual faith daily.”

Ranting; Foolish

I thought of you when I read this quote from “The Daily Proverbs: 365 Devotional Sayings on How to Live a Better Life” by R.W. Reese –

““Spouting off before listening to the facts is both shameful and foolish.” Proverbs 18:13 In our current society, we are quick to speak and slow to listen. This is not good because we start speaking our opinions before we’ve even heard the whole story! We must commit to being good listeners and think deeply about the facts before offering a reply. Then we will be able to speak with wisdom instead of foolishness and add something insightful to the conversation! It’s much easier to react to something out of emotion than it is to maintain composure. Try to take a step back,”

Under His Name

When the Bible describes a remnant with God’s name inscribed in their foreheads, it is not a matter of having literal letters written there; it is a matter of having God’s character inscribed in your mind, your heart, and so now in our lives we reflect the love and character of God
