I thought of you when I read this quote from “The Daily Proverbs: 365 Devotional Sayings on How to Live a Better Life” by R.W. Reese –

“When we oppress people who struggle with the same things we do, we are just like the pounding rain. Instead of lifting up others who can relate to us, we hurt them even further instead. Why not practice God’s teachings and attempt to uplift every person we encounter in our lives? It won’t work on everyone, but we have the chance to help someone in a meaningful way.”
